How did we start?

Founded in December 2020, this passion project came about with the idea of making matcha available to everyone in fun, interesting and newer ways, thanks to the versatility of the Japanese green tea. Tencha sources all its matcha straight from Shizuoka, Japan so that you have the best green tea in your cup.

The founder.

Ashish, our founder or Mr. Matcha as the team lovingly calls him, discovered the Japanese superfood back in 2018 and fell in love with it. For over 2 years he pondered over how to share the goodness of matcha with the world. The journey finally started in December 2020. Ever since then, he has worked closely and tirelessly with a small and trusted team who he treats like family.
